Our Equipment for Towing and Winching
Our first unit is a 2006 Peterbilt 378 with a 2017 Holmes Gen 2 DTU that was permanently mounted; it has a 28,500 lbs under-lift capacity for towing and one winch with a 25,000 lbs capacity in addition to a revolt system that allows for 12 and 24 volt boosting roadside. This truck is used for the majority of our long distance towing and for stuck calls and recoveries.
Our second unit is a 2005 Westernstar winch tractor, equipped with one 50 ton winch that can be used to winch loads onto our trailer, or it can be used for stuck calls and recoveries.
This unit is currently our biggest recovery unit, a 2017 Kenworth T800 equipped with a 2017 Vulcan V103 50 ton. It has two 50 ton winches, one 25 ton winch and an under-lift with a 50,000 lbs capacity for towing. This truck is also equipped with a revolt system for 12 and 24 volt boosting. As our biggest truck, this unit is used mainly for winching, stuck calls and recoveries, and for towing heavier vehicles that our smaller wrecker would otherwise have difficulty towing due to weight.
We also have a 2013 53’ extendable drop-deck trailer with a rear roller that is equipped to load and haul skid shacks and tanks.
We have a 2018 53’ tilt deck trailer with a 5 degree load angle that is hauled behind our winch tractor, and can be used to haul disabled or damaged trucks, trailers, buses and motorhomes (or RV’s). The trailer is also used for equipment moves on equipment such as loaders, excavators and graders.
Our equipment also gives us the capability to provide winching services throughout Alberta.
Our company is also looking to expand our heavy fleet with two additional heavy duty towing and recovery units in the new year to ensure shorter wait times for our customers in the busy season!
